Absolutely loved our experience at C’EST LA VIE BAKERY & CAFE! 🥰🍰 I stopped by to get a gluten-free cheesecake for my husband, and it was absolutely delicious! It was so nice to find a gluten-free option that was genuinely tasty and felt like such a special treat. The person at the front was incredibly kind, welcoming, and efficient. She clearly knew exactly what she was doing, and everything was handled so quickly and smoothly. Delicious dessert, wonderful service, and such a pleasant experience! We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this bakery and cafe! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place is pretty underwhelming tbh 🤷‍♂️ 🥛 *Latte*: Mostly milk, barely any coffee flavor. If you like steamed milk with a coffee suggestion, you’ll love it 😅 🥞 *Soufflé pancake*: Takes 20 min to make, which I get — it’s soufflé. BUT it had weird hints of scrambled eggs 🤢 Not the fluffy vanilla dream I wanted. ✨ *The ONE selling point = atmosphere*: - WiFi is FAST 💻⚡ - Tons of seats to camp out + hang 🪑 - Good work/study spot if you don’t care about the food 👃 *Parking lot alert* as of June 2026: Stinks like hot asphalt/tar 🥵 PEE-YUU. Roll your windows up. But don’t let that stop you if you really need the WiFi 🤝

A Café Worth Discovering: clean lines, soft light, and a hush of calm greet you the moment you step inside this café—an atmosphere that immediately distinguishes it from the crowded, overstimulated coffee chains we so often settle for. Following a substantial lunch at Tonkatsu, I stopped in for something simple: a slice of pistachio cake and a cup of black coffee. What I received was anything but ordinary. The pistachio cake was a quiet triumph—moist, delicately sweet, and balanced by the subtle nuttiness that lingers on the palate. It paired seamlessly with the coffee, served piping hot and unadorned, its bitterness cutting through with satisfying clarity. Service here is equally commendable. Staff members are attentive without being intrusive, and their efficiency complements the serene environment. Add to this the surprisingly modest price—just under ten dollars for both items—and you have an experience that feels like a small indulgence without the guilt. The ambiance is golden, in more ways than one. Beyond its culinary offerings, this café doubles as an excellent working retreat: well-spaced seating, plentiful outlets, and reliable WiFi make it a haven for those seeking focus. In a city where cafés often lean too heavily on brand recognition or trend-driven aesthetics, this establishment distinguishes itself with simplicity, substance, and quiet elegance. A welcome alternative to the predictable pull of Starbucks, and one I would gladly revisit.

Loved the ambiance. I am a sucker for that chocolate chip muffin. We ordered a truffle brownie, it tasted like it was old. We addressed the issue and she apologized and told us to take anything instead. I had the muffin before and I absolutely loved it. So, I picked that again. You could never go wrong with the chocolate chip muffin. She warmed it for us. The muffin was fluffy and the chocolate chips were slightly melted. It wasn’t too sweet (it’s a compliment). The chocolate croissants were good as well. The almond croissant was decent. My favorite duo was the mocha frappe and chocolate chip muffin. It’s a very pleasant space. I would definitely comeback and try other things out.

Not the first time I’m seeing a bakery serve tiny portions for such whopping prices but this place is certainly not worth that money. The staffs are there just to say yes or no and nothing more. Probably a new employee but that doesn’t mean you don’t even know where do you keep your salt and pepper in your cafe. Food: We ordered few pastries including a chocolate mousse cake, avocado toast (requested for no eggs, no meat) which usually comes with fried eggs topping and a puff pastry. Except for the avocado toast the pastries were very cold, probably kept there since yesterday. Not just cold it was hard as well. The avocado toast comes with a streak of curry (has meat/ eggs) and fried eggs which we declined at the time of order but without these it was absolutely bland to the core. I understand if it’s meant to be eaten with eggs and curry it would have tasted different but atleast expected some creativity there from the chef inside; a simple “No it won’t taste good” would have been appreciated. The prices are too much for this little quantity and most importantly the taste isn’t so great either. Most part of mousse and the puff pastry felt bland to me. Certainly disappointed. Service and Ambience: The interiors are very nice and well lit for a cafe. The tables could have been cleaned better and no kids high chair here. They do have outdoor seating with 3-4 tables. It’s quiet and comfortable on the inside. The service is not that great in my opinion. Had some one at the counter who was probably new and not so well versed with the cafe and the items and in locating few things (salt pepper shaker) we asked for. She was clueless about the menu as she initially said the curry in avocado toast doesn’t have any meat/ eggs. When the order arrived there was no curry and thank god we mentioned it upfront. That’s where the service comes into picture. If not aware of something I would at least encourage to check with the kitchen. There’s just one person to take care of all these things. So certainly needs a lot more staffing. BOTTOMLINE: A very sophisticated place to sit and work but certainly not the best of cakes/ pastries in the town with a sub par service, I would pass on this one if I was you. Should be a 2.5 pointer.
