What an amazing experience with Maria!! She was so welcoming and created a relaxing environment. It was the best salon experience I have ever had. I am on the autism spectrum so I am really sensitive to sensory input and she was very gentle. I was impressed by her extensive knowledge about hair and products. I am extremely happy with the results of my visit with her. I have always had difficulty with knowing how to care for my hair and style but she described in detail what I need to do to take care of my hair.

I have had my hair highlighted and colored for a very long time but I've never met someone with so much expertise! My hair color turned out fantastic! Maria suggested stripping all the prior chemicals from my hair beforehand. It was the "k18 Detox Prep" had never heard of! It actually removes metals and minerals that that are in our water (buildup) so it creates a clean canvas before a chemical service and it definitely made a great difference! It's very obvious that Maria has been doing this a long time and quite the wizard!! I've also been getting my eyebrows dyed and waxed for decades, with a very reputable salon, however Maria did the best I've ever had because my eyes appeared larger and it was like a mini brow-lift! I did not have that result in the past. Had I known all this I would have started going to her decades ago! She was delightful to be around, she's a hoot and fun to talk to, but she also completely respects those who want to just relax and not talk. So if I were you I would try it out and see for yourself!

My first experience at Hair By Maria was amazing! Maria likes to share her love of gentle music and takes all pressure off for carrying on conversation creating a welcoming environment... From the herbal scents to education on how to properly care for my type hair on to the care and services on my hair I walked away beyond pleased. I felt like I went to a mini personal spa from the shampoo bowl to end results. I appreciate Maria for the whole experience but most especially for the hair color, cut and style that has brought me to and is the gift of My New Look!
