Mojito Cafe used to be good, but my recent visit was disappointing. The food didn’t taste as authentic as it once did, and the flavors were lacking. Overall, the dishes felt bland and didn’t have the bold, fresh taste I remembered. I only like the black beans. Which said a lot. The service and atmosphere were still pleasant, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. I hope this was just an off day, and that the food returns to the quality it used to have.

I love this restaurant! The food? Excellent. The portions? Large. The atmosphere? Just what I like- welcoming, clean, and not noisy. I personally like a place that is reasonably quiet, where I can converse pleasantly with my family or friends without having to yell or miss half the conversation, and this place fits the bill. As far as food goes, my daughters live and die by their beef empanadas. My husband loves the media noche sandwhich. My favorites meals are the masitas de puerco and the ropa vieja. Regarding side dishes, having eaten at various Cuban places, I honestly think their empanadas and black beans are some of the best I've had. As if that wasn't enough, the people are amazing. The service is always fast and friendly. The folks who own this place couldn't be any nicer- they even opened the restaurant on a day they were closed so my FIL could look for his missing wallet. They also go out of their way to be sweet to my kids, which I appreciate. Can't praise them enough!

This restaurant is a gem!!!! I had the año Shrimp with rice and beans and it was off the chain!!!!! Ate el Flan de Coco…delicious!!!! Took empanadas to go and out of this world. The service was so friendly and on point. The owner came by to say hello. Very impressive. I strongly if you are in Alpharetta, come by for some traditional Cuban cuisine. We started with 2 original Mojitos with Bacardi rum. My 2 brothers had Vaca Frita and grilled Chicken breast with rice, black beans and plantains. I had the grilled fish with the same sides. Everything was delicious! Great service, awesome Tres Leches and Flan to finish the evening. Will be back soon….
