We arrived early, so we had personalized service. For appetizers, we decided to get Kurt rolls; with a choice of injera with homemade Ethiopian cheese and collard greens. We ordered the vegetarian platter as the main course with 2 proteins. We chose steak and salmon.. soft Ethiopian music lent great ambience. The children were so excited, that they ate with no regard to the level of spice. It was absolutely delightful! I recommend the platter if you have a party of 3 or more. You get 5 vegetables and 2 proteins- see photos. Highly recommended for something unique.

Ethiopiques absolutely exceeded my expectations. The decor is chic and eclectic, the music creates a fun, lively atmosphere with Afrobeats playing in the background, and the expansive patio is tucked away from the parking lot, making it the perfect spot for dining outside. Every dish I tried was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. I started with the kifto rolls: berbere spiced beef and collards wrapped in injera and topped with Ethiopian cheese. They were an absolute chef’s kiss. The spices were perfectly balanced, with just the right touch of heat that snuck up on you at the end. It was addictively good. I also had the salmon tibs with gomen (collard greens) and also added a side of tikil gomen (cabbage) because I couldn’t decide between the two vegetables. Thankfully, I didn’t have to. Both were outstanding. The salmon was perfectly seasoned, and the portion was generous without being overwhelming. The service was equally impressive. My server, Sky, was fabulous: personable, courteous, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. She answered all of my questions, offered wonderful suggestions, and clearly takes great pride in both the restaurant and the experience it provides. One thing that really sets this restaurant apart is that they offer two types of injera. They serve the traditional version, which is naturally gluten free and has the signature tangy flavor that injera is known for, as well as a milder version made with added flour. I appreciated having the choice. Sometimes you want the milder version, and sometimes you want the traditional sour flavor. And let me tell you… the chef here absolutely knows what he’s doing. Every dish was beautifully prepared, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. From the atmosphere to the food and service, everything was exceptional. Five stars isn’t enough. I would give Ethiopiques a hundred stars if I could, and I will definitely be back for more!
