One of my favorite place to walk. There are two short trails, picnic areas, a beautiful lake, playground and sports fields. One of the trails reminds me so much of home- both Australia and New Zealand.

How on earth did I miss this park all these years? My son went to Shakerag Middle School right next door, and yet I never once set foot here until today. Big mistake. Because this place is a hidden masterpiece. Forget your typical neighborhood park. This one comes with legit hiking trails, two full pavilions, a playground, restrooms (yes, clean ones), picnic tables, grills, and even a fishing pier. And let's not ignore the fact that it's dog-friendly with waste stations--translation: no excuses not to bring your four-legged buddy. But here's the kicker: the Storybook Trail. If you've got kids and you haven't walked this trail, you're flat-out cheating them out of something magical. Giant trees shade the path, beams of sunlight slip through the canopy, and page by page a story unfolds as you hike. It's part exercise, part fairytale, and completely unforgettable. The nature trail is an easy 1.33 miles--perfect for a quick adventure that doesn't feel "quick." The talking trail is another, that you absolutely cannot miss. I'm already planning my return trip with my husband and son for fishing off the pier. This park is hiding in plain sight, and honestly, if you live nearby and haven't been, you're doing yourself a disservice. Stop driving past it. Stop ignoring it. Go.

Great simple park. It's tied to the school nearby and has a sign that says no use m-f between school hours. I think it starts at 8:30 but forgot when it ends. I came here because it's super unclear if public school tracks are available for use outside of school hours. The field inside the track is AstroTurf. The field beside is grass with batting cages and marking for soccer. The track is unfortunately pavement but I'll take what I can get. Bathrooms are really well maintained. Staff is friendly. I think there's a trail near the parking lot and playground. And there is a big pond with ducks.
