Great place if you are local with tons to do! We went to a concert at the amphitheater, not easily accessible in Friday rush hour! Lots of outdoor activities! Hoops, soccer, tennis, baseball, dog park, amphitheater, playgrouns and paved walking trails! Nice place to see a concert! Covered seating (for a price, you can rent a table with chairs ahead of time), and plenty of outdoor seating.

Newtown Park is truly the crown jewel of Johns Creek—it offers something spectacular for every age and interest, making it an essential community gathering spot. The highlights for us are the incredible amenities. The Newtown Dream Dog Park is easily one of the best in the state (and was recently ranked highly by USA Today!), featuring artificial turf, water features, and separate areas for small and large dogs to play safely. For humans, the two miles of walking trails are perfect for a scenic stroll or run, and the sheer number of courts—from tennis and basketball to bocce and six dedicated pickleball courts—means there's always an athletic activity to jump into. Beyond sports, the park serves the whole community beautifully. You have the Veterans Memorial Walk for quiet reflection and the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater for hosting fun events like the Summer Concert Series. With excellent playgrounds for kids and the Park Place Senior Center nearby, it’s a space where multiple generations can enjoy the outdoors at the same time. Newtown Park is one of the best community parks in the Johns Creek area. It’s beautifully maintained, with plenty of green space, shaded walking trails, and well-kept sports fields. I really enjoy the peaceful atmosphere — perfect for a morning walk, an afternoon picnic, or just relaxing outdoors. The park has great amenities, including a large playground, dog park, amphitheater for events, and even community gardens. It’s very family-friendly and feels safe and welcoming. Parking is easy, and the layout makes it convenient to get around. Whether you’re here for exercise, fresh air, or community events, Newtown Park is a gem that truly brings people together. They host Battle at the Creek in August. It’s a CrossFit competition.

One of my absolute favorite dog parks in this part of town. It’s a beautiful park and there’s usually lots of activities going on around. Should I ever get the chance to move closer to this park? I definitely will. I always enjoy the atmosphere and friendly people.
