I love this little book shop! Its cozy and has a huge selection of books, new and old! They have a little "retro" section with comics, DVDs, CDs, and older video games. The staff has always been so kind and attentive in all of my visits here. Prices on used books are great! The store is clean and organized, so it is easy to find whatever genre you are looking for. The staff also makes great suggestions on what to read next depending on your interests. They also have a mystery book section where you blindly pick a book by a brief description. They accept books for store credit and will also donate books, if unable to give store credit. Highly recommend a visit here for book lovers and those who like to collect things!

I came in to trade some books in for store credit, and had a really great time. The blonde lady in the front was really nice and I didn't even need an appointment to have my books traded in, and I had quite a few. I ended up getting 50 dollars in trade in credit for 12ish books, (a VERY generous price.) Not only that, but the store had a great selection. As a fantasy reader I was very excited to see what they had, and it didnt disappoint. They had both popular and more niche serise on the shelf, which I really appreciated, and almost all the books had the complete serise in stock, which is quite impressive for an indie store. I read a lot of fantasy and a lot in general, and I can tell you that they have great taste. And, most importantly, EVERY book was categorized correctly. I absolutely despise when a store has a dedicated sci fi section, and a dedicated fantasy section, and they STILL mix up the genres, but for once that didn't happen here. Even the romantasy section was appropriately labeled, which famously includes books that are not in that genre whatsoever. They have these little cards in many of the books detailing opinions, and I get a sense that everyone who works there actually reads and likes the things they stock, which is always nice to see. I give away/sell lot of my already read books, since I only keep books I plan to reread or REALLY enjoyed on my shelf. I am usually quite picky with what I do with them, a lot of them are really good novels and I want them to have a good home, so, I have to say I was very happy to hand them over to this store, I know they will be treated well and hopefully go to someone who will enjoy them even more than I did. I really enjoyed my trip to Johns Creek Books! I felt comfortable walking around to browse, and the ongoing mahjong game gave the whole place a lively atmosphere. They have a wide variety of new and used books, all of which are thoroughly labeled and fairly priced. I got a new paperback by an author I like, and a used hardback in good condition for $16. There were also several tables with thematic gift options (mixology, book clubs, US history, etc). I love the physical media corner; they have board games, DVDs and Blu-rays, music CDs, video games, and even a handful of cassettes. Most of it is on the older side (think classic rock, early 2000s movies, etc) but it was really cool to see, and if you like media from that time, I'm sure you'll find something. I thought the kids section was very cozy and well-designed, complete with a comfy reading nook where a kid could entertain themselves while their parent(s) browsed. Since the bookstore is located in a strip mall, there was plenty of free parking in the mall lot.

My son and I went to visit a new bookstore to us. I believe her name was Sarah. She was welcoming and introducing the store and where certain genre of books were located within the store. She also explained the pricing on new and used books. It was a very welcoming environment and she was very friendly. We will definitely return.
