The wait is over. After years of renderings and hard hats, Medley opens this October at the corner of Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road, and it’s arriving with three days of celebration. Here’s what’s coming, what to eat, and how to be part of opening week.
| 43Acres | $560MInvestment | 30+Shops & eateries | 200+Events a year |
First, the big picture
Medley is a 43-acre, $560 million mixed-use community from Toro Development Company, the team behind Avalon in Alpharetta. Phase one brings roughly 164,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space, 110,000 square feet of lifestyle office, hundreds of new residences, and a 25,000-square-foot Plaza built to hold a concert, a farmers market, or a Saturday morning yoga class. A 150-key boutique hotel follows in 2028, and a second phase called Encore is already underway for 2027.
The result is a walkable, day-to-night gathering place in the heart of the city’s Town Center, the kind of spot where you can park once and spend an entire evening.
Grand Opening: October 28–30
Three days, three very different invitations, one ticketed and two free to the public.

STIR, the Chattanooga oyster-and-cocktail favorite, anchors the Plaza in its first Georgia location, with its cocktail-forward companion Tonic House alongside. Add Rena’s Italian Fishery & Grill for coastal Italian, Fadó Irish Pub in its first suburban location, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, Lily Sushi, Fogón and Lions for Latin flavors, 26 Thai Kitchen and Bar, Tabla, and The Nest.
Casual and quick
Shake Shack, Northern China Eatery, an Atlanta dumpling institution making its first move to the suburbs, Minnie Olivia Wood Fire Pizzeria, Knuckies Hoagies, CT Taqueria, and Playa Bowls.
Coffee and sweets
Summit Coffee for organic roasts (plus beer and wine), Five Daughters Bakery for the 100-layer donut, Cookie Fix, and Amorino for gelato roses. Yes, you can build an entire afternoon out of just this paragraph.

“Our guests can walk right over and have dinner, shop, catch live music in the Plaza, and walk back. That changes what a stay in Johns Creek looks like, and we could not be more excited.” Ylan Sanders, General Manager, Hampton Inn & Suites Johns Creek |
After opening week
The Plaza doesn’t go quiet on Nov. 1. Medley is planning to host more than 200 events a year. Some upcoming events include Merry Medley and Skate the Plaza.
