Right past the Bell Road roundabout, you’ll find Johns Creek’s biggest outdoor oasis— Cauley Creek Park. With 203 acres of space to move, play, and soak up the sun, it’s the perfect place to get outdoors this summer! Conveniently located right next to the Chattahoochee River, Cauley Creek Park delivers stunning views and picture-perfect landscapes. With riverside trails and state-of-the-art sports facilities, this park has everything you could dream of to make the most of the summer weather. Get ready to explore! Here are three reasons why Cauley Creek Park should be on your summer bucket list.
- Chattahooche River Access & Pedestrian Bridge
For starters, Cauley Creek Park sits right on the banks of the Chattahooche River, making for gorgeous scenic views that make it easy to unwind and reconnect with nature.
One of the park’s standout features is Roger’s Bridge– a stunning bridge that crosses over the Chattahooche and links Cauley Creek Park with Rogers Bridge Park for double the fun! Originally a historic steel bridge in Johns Creek, Rogers Bridge was reconstructed in 2023 as a replica of the original, connecting pedestrians and bikers with a connection across the river to Duluth and Gwinnett County.

- 5K Rubberized Trail
Looking to get your steps in this summer? Cauley Creek’s 5K Rubberized Trail is one of the first of its kind in the Southeast, built in partnership with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The 3.1 mile loop is specially designed to make walking, running, or any outdoor activity fun and easy on the joints.
As you make your way through the trail, you’ll pass by river overlooks with views of the glistening Chattahoochee, sports courts, and open park space. And yes, the trail leads you right to that beautiful pedestrian bridge we mentioned, so you can walk from Johns Creek to Duluth!

- A Sport’s Lover’s Dream
If staying active is your kind of fun, this park was made for you. Complete with fields, courts, and open spaces, Cauley Creek Park is going to be your new favorite place for a pickup basketball game or a friendly soccer match. The park includes:
- 3 sand volleyball courts
- 2 basketball courts
- 2 futsal courts
- 2 lighted turf athletic fields
- 2 lighted grass athletic fields
- 5 pickleball courts
- A cricket pitch
Most courts and fields are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but can also be reserved for your team or league. Everyone is welcome to play, no matter the level!
There’s more to love! Cauley Creek Park is also the perfect destination for a picnic or barbeque, complete with picnic pavilions (one rentable with 2 grills). And don’t worry, there’s ample parking and restrooms so you can comfortably enjoy the park for as long as your heart desires. Grab your athletic gear and enjoy 203 acres of beautiful outdoor space, perfectly created for you at Cauley Creek Park.
